Stephen Thompson is dedicated to serving the community of Cottleville with integrity and vision. His passion for Cottleville run deep, and his commitment to progress and inclusivity drives his every decision. Through his experience and passion, Stephen aims to make Cottleville a place where everyone can thrive.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE & GOALS

Stephen has a proven track record of leadership and achievement in corporate world, business entrepreneur and public service. His extensive involvement in community initiatives and his clear vision for the future of Cottleville set him apart. With a focus on collaboration and transparency, Stephen seeks to create a community that is both vibrant and inclusive.

  • IT executive experience at IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Saudi Aramco, Mastercard, ABN AMRO Bank and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

  • Board Member, Appointed Member and/or Support Member for St. Charles Community Collage Foundation, Cottleville Firefighters Outreach, Cottleville St. Patricks Day Run And Parade Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association and University of Missouri Ext.

  • Multi-published author, Celebrity Journalist (interviewed over 200 celebrities for OpenBeast), and Publisher of FocusOn St. Charles County Magazine.

  • Community Producer at Nine PBS and Hobby Photographer.

DID YOU KNOW? Cottleville's City Hall is a "green" building (LEED Certified), with features such as 100% Green Power, 30% Energy Reduction, 100% Stormwater Infiltration, Cool Roof, Recycled Materials and Local Materials.

May 2022, Stephen Thompson initiated and solely coordinated to earn "Purple Heart City" proclamation for Cottleville. Back Story: SFC John McDaris, long time Cottleville resident, was awarded Purple Heart October 16th 2021 (22 June 2006 WIA) and subsequently inspired, lead Stephen's application for Purple Heart City status via Missouri Purple Heart Chapter 125 out of Fenton.
